Compare a job offer by take-home pay
Compare Canadian salary and RRSP scenarios with annual and per-cheque differences, deductions and cited tax formulas.
A worked example
A bigger salary and a bigger bank deposit are different questions. This fictional comparison starts at $62,000 in Ontario and separates the effects of a 5% RRSP contribution and a $68,000 job offer. At the starting salary, the contribution changes a biweekly cheque from $1,870.26 to $1,785.85: $84.41 less take-home while putting $119.23 into the contribution.
Fictional amounts, not someone’s financial information. Opening the example recalculates it using current rules. The result shows its assumptions and source dates.

Result: Annual and per-cheque cash differences. You can edit, compare, or print the worksheet without signing in.
How to use the worksheet
Enter the province where payroll tax applies, gross salary and pay frequency. Compare the same year and pay frequency when using per-cheque differences.
Add an option and change only salary, province or contribution. The table shows annual net pay, first-cheque cash, contributions and assumptions. A larger contribution is not a loss of the whole amount.
Use the annual difference alongside commuting, childcare, benefits, employer match and working hours. Those costs are not included in a payroll-only comparison.
Start with the facts you know. A missing date, jurisdiction or expense can change the result. Keep estimates labelled as estimates, and use the source link to check the rule before making a decision. If a figure seems wrong, use the support page to describe the issue with fictional amounts.
